Our House Yoga + Dina Ivas

April 29, 2017 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm EDT

Dina Ivas – Instructor

Brooklyn-based yogini Dina Ivas proudly teaches in three of the five boroughs and specializes in out-of-the-box events like leading classes in nightclubs with a DJ and disco lights.  Not a fan of the cold, Dina escapes NYC in the winter, leading fun, beginner-friendly retreats worldwide. A graduate of Sonic Yoga’s teacher training program, Dina’s classes are flowy, often sweaty and always set to a rockin’ playlist.  Some of her favorite mat tracks to play are by Phantogram, Massive Attack, and Michael Jackson.  ”My mission is to make yoga fun and accessible to everyone!  I strive to inspire students to go beyond their perceived limits, while maintaining calm breathing, safe alignment and a smile.” Quote Dina lives by:  “Play is the highest form of research” –Albert Einstein

A self-proclaimed “leggings-a-holic” and wine-lover, Dina co-founded Yoga Wine Party, a company marrying these two passions offering customized yoga and wine-tasting events as a unique alternative to the traditional bachelorette party, birthday soirée or corporate gathering… because who doesn’t want to drink wine in leggings?!?!

When not teaching in gyms and yoga studios, Dina has built a thriving business bringing yoga to offices.  She also serves as a mentor for new yoga teachers getting started on their path and co-led the inaugural 200-hour Teacher Training at Anthea Yoga in 2015.
