ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR

Julie is a contemporary dancer and yoga instructor living in Astoria. She completed her 200 Hour Yoga Certification at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center where she was fortunate enough to learn from masterful teachers including Dana Trixie Flynn, Ali Cramer and Sheri Celentano. Julie incorporates her passion for movement and music in her classes, challenging her students to move beyond their perceived limitations while also having fun and moving in a way that suits their individual bodies.

ABOUT THE DJ

Leticia Taylor (fka Lety Love) is a DJ, musician, dancer and Pilates instructor. She likes ginger, the color pink, and wears Ray-Bans even when it’s raining.

UNION SQUARE SWEAT FEST is an annual week-long health + fitness event series hosted by the Union Square Partnership, in partnership with FIT+LOVE. Taking place from Thursday, February 9th through Wednesday, February 15th, the opening event kicks off a week of exciting, heart-pumping activities where participants can sample healthy eateries, experience workouts at the district’s best athleisure retailers + top gyms, and get drenched with Sweat Fest swag at featured studio classes. FAQs

Do I need to bring anything?

Yoga mats will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own, along with any other props you may need to enhance your yoga practice such as blocks, straps, blankets … and water is always a good idea.

How do I check out headphones?

You may need to provide a credit card or drivers license in exchange for your Sound Off™ headphones at certain events. Your items will be returned to you when you return the headphones. If the headphones are not returned, you will be charged $100 to receive your collateral items (we would prefer not to do this).

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Tickets to this special opening event are non-refundable. However, if you have purchased a ticket and cannot attend, feel free to share your ticket with a friend.

Whats the scoop with the waitlist?

If the event sells out, we’ll open up a waitlist. If we have any cancellations you’ll be notified so you can snag yourself a spot!
