Beach Yoga + Silent Disco Dance FIRE Relief Fundraiser

Autumn carrys more gold in it’s pockets than all of the other seasons. Dearest city dwellers, visitors from around the world, dancers, yogis, adventurers ::

We invite you to this Fall end of season gathering to feel magic in every ounce of your being.

To soak in final days of warm indian summer in SF with us and celebrate life with this community and people we love so much. The beach is our favorite place to take it all in. It’s our favorite part of the city and the core of the community we’ve built here.

You are cordially invited to our Fall celebration as the sun sets over our beautiful Ocean Beach. Join us for an evening of beach yoga (with headphones) and hundreds of your friends. Live DJs, dancing, henna tattooing, sunset watching.

We’ll practice yoga lead by founder Julianne Aiello and DJ Avani, Founder of Ecstatic Dance in the Bay, followed by the magic of hanging together in community to dance, watch the sun set, enjoy tasty veggie eats and experience the magic of the day. All ages, all levels of yoga welcome. Kids + dogs welcome too.

**We’ve also just updated this event to be a relief fundraiser for our local and global community. ALL proceeds will support Hurricane and Wildfire Relief. We will identify amazing charities and keep you posted on the organizations.**

Schedule

3:30 PM: Welcome, groovin’ begins. Henna, headphones, and music begins upon your arrival.

4 – 5 PM: Silent Disco Beach Yoga with Julianne and LIve DJ Avani

Julianne is inspired by her deep connection to nature and by the dedication of her teachers and friends. Her style is a peaceful, playful, full of life and love kind of vibe. She’s the Founder of Outdoor Yoga SF and can’t wait to welcome you in to our very special community!

Avani is the founder of Ecstatic Dance Bay Area and will craft the sounds for a journey into conscious movement – connecting with the self and others for a wild, playful and healing sacred celebration. Join these two at the edge of the Pacific to breathe and flow with the great current.

5 – 7:15 PM: Silent Disco Dance Party with Live DJs (We will have headphones offered to everyone, with three channels playing different music by live DJ’s. SO FUN!)

Channel 1 :: DJ Avani :: an ecstatic dance journey of multi genre, all tempo, complete emotional music for the sountrack of your life.

Channel 2 :: pop remixes // 90s hip hop // rock classics remixed by our community

Channel 3 :: DJ Galexy :: full groove, seductive deep house Burningman beats

5:45pm – 6:15: Hip Hop Dance sesh with Walker Fischer (AHmazing dance teacher to lead you in groovy moves for your evening)

Walker is a Bay Area native with dance roots in hip hop, jazz and butoh. His movement celebrates human expression at the intersection of the mind + body.

About the evening

*All activities- yoga + dance are optional. DJs will be playing all night. You can participate in any part of the evening.

~Palo Santo Ritual :: You’ll be greeted with a Palo Santo blessing. Palo Santo is sacred tree used by people all over the world to cleanse, renew and bless people and spaces.

~Contribute :: It’s asked that everyone joining brings a small gift for at least 1 other person. It can be a flower, a little book, something handmade, or not.. no stress. any small gift. if you’re coming with a crew of people it can be fun to get together and brainstorm a fun gift to make and give out as a group.

~Nourish :: Hot tea + kombucha available. warm (vegan + chicken) burritos will be available for purchase.
