Schedule is as follows:

8/11, Sophia Holly: Sophia began practicing yoga over a decade ago primarily to treat and prevent injuries from long distance running. Thus began her passion for the practice. It became a way to celebrate life, and aid in her recovery from an eating disorder. Sophia believes in the trans formative power of yoga both on and off the mat. She recently completed a 200 hour Teacher Training at Abhaya Yoga in Brooklyn under the Guidance of Tara Glazier and other wonderful teachers.Sophia’s classes are a blend of easeful vinyasa, longer held poses, and alignment principles. Everyone’s body is different, so she aims to help students feel comfortable and safe in each pose. When not on the mat Sophia can be found cooking, working as a nanny, singing, biking or finding laughs in everyday life.

8/18, Kathryn Robinson: Kathryn’s journey into yoga began in 2004 in San Francisco, California when her passion for the practice was ignited by her first teacher, Catherine Chapman. Within a month of balancing, falling, and getting back up she began to feel transformation on a physical and energetic level and has felt a calling to share the benefits of yoga ever since. Driven by the belief that through a regular yoga practice, we all have the capacity to heal, her teaching is imbued with a tone of compassion and urgency. Kathryn’s approach weaves philosophical teachings, metaphor, breath work, and alignment principles into a flow that gently challenges her students to grow into their fullest potential. Kathryn completed her E-RYT 200 Vinyasa certification in 2011. She continues her advanced studies under the tutelage of Tara Glazier and Zhenja La Rosa at Abhaya Yoga. When not in downward dog, she’s climbing, making exhibits, movies, and art! “However you choose to pass your minutes, hours, days—make your life your art!”

8/25, Joy Radish: Joy Nirenstein Radish has been teaching and studying yoga since 2003. She has been a senior teacher at Laughing Lotus Yoga Center where she has also led workshops, and mentored new teachers at the Lotus College of Yoga. In the past, Joy has taught in a variety of spaces to a vast array of people, including senior citizens at settlement houses in NYC, teenagers in detention centers, and to life-long yoga practitioners at studios in both NYC and San Francisco. Joy worked for several years as lead instructor with Bent on Learning, teaching yoga, mindfulness practices and life-skills throughout the NYC public school system.
