Attendees connect at the Soft Reset event in Brooklyn with Sound Off wireless headphones

Sound Off® x Always Prai x Brown Girls Heal: Soft Reset Event

In a city that never slows down, a gathering centered around gentle stillness and reflection is a much needed moment, especially when it supports women’s personal growth.

This was the idea behind Soft Reset, a recent event in Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn, hosted by Always Prai and Brown Girls Heal, two communities with a shared belief in the power of intentional connection and coming back to oneself.

Prais’Jah Woodkins founded Always Prai to share with others the meaningful practices that help her feel whole and empowered. Her group centers around purpose-driven women and is rooted in personal development through connection and spirituality. Always Prai’s mission is to empower BIPOC creatives, entrepreneurs, and visionaries through community, culture, and conscious living.

Prais’Jah met EyeRene, founder of Brown Girls Heal, through social media and quickly realized the overlap in their visions. Rather than compete, they saw an opportunity to join forces for an event that set out to eliminate the noise of our current reality and realign what matters.

Also working as the Sound Off® marketing coordinator, Prais’Jah (a busy woman!) knew our wireless headphones would enhance the Soft Rest event, bringing a fully immersive, intimate experience to the middle of Fort Greene Park.

At the start of the Soft Reset, Prais’Jah led everyone through a guided journaling session, encouraging them to reflect on their lives, values, and experiences. She streamed soft music while participants journaled, then stopped the music and passed the mic to anyone who wanted to share what came up for them.

Because attendees could hear the prompts and music directly through their Sound Off headphones, sounds of the park didn’t compete or interrupt their experience. When it was time to share, participants felt safe knowing only those with headphones would hear them speak.

This created an added layer of privacy and comfort for an event built around vulnerability.

“A lot of community events are about networking,” says Prai’Jah, “but our events are about deeper connections and about sharing what we’re going through internally so we won’t feel isolated and alone. At the Soft Reset, Sound off technology helped create a safe space, a bubble for our group of women to come together and remember what matters.”

Attendee journals while listening to Sound Off wireless headphonesThe second half of the Soft Reset event shifted from reflection to peace and release.

EyeRene led the attendees through a sound bath incorporating singing bowls, chimes, a rainmaker, and guided meditation.

Again, Sound Off headphones helped remove external distractions, bringing the experience inward and providing a private soundscape in a public space. Participants were able to truly relax and let go, enjoying the headphones’ comfortable fit and individual volume control.

At one point, EyeRene encouraged everyone to express an energetic release verbally — literally a scream of joy.  When the voices rang out, people nearby felt the vibes and spontaneously clapped in support of the headset-wearing meditators. And at that moment, a positive energy shift was expanded and shared.

Yes, magic can happen on a patch of grass in the park, especially when Always Prai and Brown Girls Heal show what community really means.

Look for future events full of support and spiritual connection @alwaysprai and @browngirlsheal.
